Help required glovebox + UCH removal 2003 Renault Clio

Having recently acquired an 03/53 Clio 1.4 only to discover that headlights + dash lights and wipers intermittently fail along the accompanied chattering of relays behind the glovebox - which points to an errant UCH/BSI. (they return by turning the ignition off and back on.)

I have searched these very informative pages however I haven't been able to remove glovebox.

My first question is:- do I have to actually remove the glovebox? Visual inspection, once laying upside down in the footwell, shows that the UCH is tantalisingly accessible and possibly removable - although top bracket is not visible.

If not:- I have tried to remove glovebox but have been thwarted - undone all Torx bolts at top and side and the concealed one left hand bottom, along with plastic fastener on the side of the dashboard top, only to discover that the glovebox remains firmly rooted.

Removed radio and then pondered whether I have to go the whole hog and remove dashtop just to get glovebox out?

Am I missing something?

Any assistance welcomed as I've taken today off to remove UCH and post off to a repairer.
