Hi, I have an old Clio 1.2 16v,It has developed a loud ,metallic ,rattling noise ,top end drivers side of engine .This "rattle" is only there at 900rpm, as soon as you touch the throttle its gone and revs quiet all the way up. It does sound like hydraulic tappet ,ignition pack area?.The engine is quiet from cold ,but after about 2 minutes it starts. The car has done over 200,000 miles,could this be an oil pressure thing?
