2004 Espace Boost Pressure Solenoid

Well after 200 miles of ownership with my 2004 2.2d Espace the honey mood period is over.

Can anyone tell me where the vacuum hoses for the boost pressure sensor attach to the engine please?

** Background

Yesterday the engine mgmt light came on and the car went into limp mode. Quick stop and start of the key and all is fine. 15 mins later it does the same.

I read the error code from the diagnostic port.

"Boost pressure circuit" Given the fact the car acts normally after a reboot, suggests a sensor is a miss and the ecu is not happy and eventually puts the car in limp mode.

So i went to look for the boost pressure solenoid to see, low and behind, all the vac pipes have been removed by the previous owner. To isolate the issue, i unplugged the sensor and went for a drive (30 miles). The car behaved very well. Yes, the mgmt light was on but that was expected.

I think the previous owner has had an issue and removed the pipe work as a bodge and chopped the car in. I did not spot that at the time of buying as its hidden under the plastic engine cover. Not something you normally remove.

So, the car has gone back to the dealer as it has 28 days warranty. I will see what they come back with.

I think, I'm going to end up replacing the boost pressure solenoid and pipe work myself for piece of mind.
