04 Scenic 1.9 dci poor idle (please read)

Hi everyone,

I have just bought a 04 Scenic 1.9 dci with the usual electric issues, i.e. windows, blower resister. There all fixed now but I have noticed another problem, when the car is running with everything switched off the engine idles a little rough and the engine sounds horrible but if I put the lights on or heater on the engine idles smooth and sounds better.

any ideas anyone
