Scenic 2 1.6 v Dynamique phase 2: Where is the brake light switch?? check cruise control and brake lights off

hi,
i've got a scenic 2 dynamique from 2008, that has both a cruise control check and the brake light not working. it shows an electrical fault on the dashboard. I suppose this is the brake light switch since it controls both things.
i brought down the lower panel below the steering wheel, but impossible to spot the BLS! i can clearly see the clutch ones (2 of them) but none for the brake.
