Renault traffic 2 litre DCI 2008

Hi guys iv got a remault traffic 2 litre DCI 115 I'm pretty clued up on these engines but Iv come across something were I need help and apinions . Right I have a tapping noise on engine specially when started from cold . When engine warms up the noise isn't half as bad but can still hear it inside the cab on tick over . Noise doesn't get no worse up the Rev range I suspect a sticky tappit / blocked oil way . Has anyone ever had this problem ? Would a good engine flush maybe help ? It's had regular oil changes every 6 k miles . Thanks rich
