I'm currently in the process of fixing my Scenic mk2 1.4 after the teeth failed on the cam belt bending all 8 exhaust valves.
I have repaired the valves, new water pump, head gasket kit etc. and now I am setting up the timing. I have the timing kit to lock the cam shafts and TDC pin, but I don't want to try and tighten the crank pulley bolt up with just the pin in as it'll bend under that sort of force.
I have ordered a flywheel locking tool, the sealey VS1284. But does anyone know where to fit it?
The older Renault's use to have a bell crank housing covers you could take off that had access to the flywheel ring and bolt holes to fit it, but this K4J engine is so compact I'm not sure where I can fit it. Even removing the TDC sensor doesn't seem to the provide a location to bolt it down.
Thanks in advance
