Can a 1996 Renault Megane 1.6 8v intake manifold leak oil?

Hello!

I posted another thread the other day asking about head gaskets and coolant issues. Well another thought came to my head about an oil leak problem. Is it possible for intake manifold to leak oil on these things? I am not exactly sure about these things because I have more experience with V6 and V8 engines where the manifold is directly on top of the cylinder heads, which these can leak a bit of oil from time to time if not done properly.

Also, would a sludgy cooling system cause sporadic idling? When I start the vehicle up, it idles at around 800 and then after driving a bit the idle can be anywhere between normal 800ish to up to 3000 grand, when it gets up there, I shut the engine off and then it goes back to the normal revs for awhile. Most of the time it's normal, it just happens to gain every now and then. But I can tell you the cooling system is filled with sludge, there seems to be no actual water or coolant, just a putrid mixture. (Going to flush it tonight actually, just got the car the other day)

Sincerely,

Curtis
