Various fault codes showing and pretty sure they are all related in some way??

Firstly hi everyone and sorry if this is posted in the wrong place but I'm not 100% sure where to post.

I have searched various forums and google to see if I can find awnsers to what is causing these fault codes but with no joy so I am hoping someone here can help.

The car is a Renault Clio 1.2 16v 2003 with 55,000 it was struggling to start one morning and when it eventually did start is wasnt reving properly and had the SERV light and the light above it (I believe this indicates electrical fault) illuminated. I switched the car off and it then started fine and these lights were no longer on, left the car a few days and the same thing happened again. This went on for a couple of weeks until one day the car started fine although these lights came on straight away and stayed on although the car has been driving fine. I ussed a freinds snap on fault codes reader and the it found the following

316 Ignition Coil 1-4 Circuit Short To Earth - Current

388 Air Conditioning Compressor Control Short To Earth - Current (Does'nt even have air con??)

04120 (1018) Undocumented Code

238 Downstream Sensor Signal Input Short To +12v - Current

586 Programming Throttle Limits Short To Earth -Current

502 After Ignition Relay Supply Circuit Short To Earth - Current

172 Knock Sensor Circuit Open - Current

604 Motorisied Throttle Short To Earth - Current

The Clio belongs to my son and he had a minor accident in it its all repaired now. Before this happened it had a new coil pack and plugs. A freind suggested that I check the earth strap which seems fine as does the earth to the battery.

I dont really now where to go with it now as I'm not too clued up on the electrical side of cars which is why I am asking if you guys have any ideas?

Many thanks in advance.
