UCH box removal, 04 Scenic dci

My question is, is it ok to just unplug the uch box and remove it or is there anything I need to do 1st. I don't want to disconnect the battery as I don't have the readio code

Currently in craigscenicdci's garage:
2003 Renault scenic 1.9dci / 2004 scenic 1.9 dci
